PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is seeking the support of other countries to be re-elected to a sixth consecutive term of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Council.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the selection for the 2022-2025 term at the 41st ICAO Triennial Assembly will be held in September this year.

"I pledged our ongoing and continuous commitment to support ICAO’s initiatives and programmes for safe, sustainable, and progressive global civil aviation," he said in a Facebook post on Thursday .
