KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 — Malaysia’s manufacturing sales in November 2021 stood at RM142.4 billion, growing 18.8 per cent compared with the same month in 2020, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said.
“The expansion was also attributed by the food, beverage and tobacco subsector , supported by the manufacture of food products industries, as well as the electrical and electronics products subsector , mainly in the manufacture of computer, optical and electronics products,” he said in a statement. “On month-on-month comparison, export and domestic-oriented industries recorded positive growth of 0.2 per cent and 3.9 per cent, respectively,” he said.
The report also stated that salaries and wages paid increased 4.8 per cent or RM345.2 million to RM7,535.5 million in November 2021 compared with the same month of the preceding year.
