Council chairman Datuk Seri Syed Hussien Alhabshee said he met Scotland in London last year where she spoke at a programme called “Faith in Commonwealth”.
“This concept is relevant to the Commonwealth countries, given that some 50% of the population are Muslims. Syed Hussien said the minister would be invited to attend the 4th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2020 in Kigali, Rwanda from June 26 to 27. “The country has also shown that it has faith in the Commonwealth as an intergovernmental body and my leadership of it over the past four years, ” she said.
