Malay trade group tells Putrajaya to put local firms first

The MySejahtera app to track people's movements during the Covid-19 pandemic has developed by a United States-based company when local talent are available for the job, says a Bumiputera entrepreneurs group. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, July 7, 2020.

PUTAJAYA must have a clearer policy on using and buying from local information technology firms so that these companies can grow, said a Malay trade group. “The government still does not have a clear policy on supporting local technology even after it helped to develop it,” said Malay Economic Action Council CEO Ahmad Yazid Othman.
