Malay Heritage Park to preserve Kg Baru’s identity

THE identity and image of the 120-year-old Kg Baru, right smack in the middle of the capital city, will be preserved with the help of 11 refurbished traditional homes. According to Kg Baru Development Corporation chief executive officer Zulkurnain Hassan, the preservation of these homes was part of the Malay Heritage Park project included in the Kampung Baru redevelopment plan to be presented at a town hall session with residents on September 21.
