Malacca fully recovers from floods, closes all relief centres

Malacca has opened 23 temporary relief centres since January 1, all of which accommodated 2,744 flood victims from 696 families from Alor Gajah, Jasin and Melaka Tengah. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 13, 2022.

MALACCA’S flood situation has fully recovered, following the closure of the last temporary relief centre at SK Seri Mendapat in Jasin at 7pm today. State Civil Defence Force director Cuthbert John Martin said before its closure, the centre housed 13 evacuees from three flood-affected families in Kampung Lanchang.
