The Australian government is hoping that Malaysia will drop conditions imposed on rare earth company Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd, operating in Gebeng, Kuantan.
On Aug 15, Malaysia’s Atomic Energy Licensing Board announced that the operating license of Lynas had been renewed for another six months. “If there are additional processes in Australia, the raw materials will not be as it is today. The raw materials will be cleaner,” he said.
Australia has no right to demand what Malaysia do. In fact, Australia should demand Lynas to be relocated to the land down under
