POLIS memberi amaran agar tidak mengaitkan isu perkauman sebagai alasan untuk mengaktifkan kembali kumpulan pengganas Harimau Pembebasan Tamil Eelam . Ketua Penolong Pengarah Bahagian Antikeganasan Cawangan Khas, Ayub Khan Mydin Pitchay berkata kumpulan itu tiada beza dengan kumpulan pengganas lain seperti Daesh, menurut Bukit Aman.
