‘Long Tiger’ to be charged on Wednesday

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain says the man known as ‘Long Tiger’, who was to stand trial for extortion, will on Wednesday face a charge of escaping from police custody. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 16, 2022.

A SUSPECT, nicknamed ‘Long Tiger’, who escaped from a court lock-up in Johor in December will be charged in court on Wednesday. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said Long Tiger, an ethnic Rohingya, real name Abdul Hamim Ab Hamid, 32, would be charged under section 224 of the penal code.
