LOCAL authorities have the power to close down factories that violate Covid-19 standard operating procedure , said Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin. She said local authorities could enforce the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act together with the Local Government Act 1976 .
