FINANCE Minister Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the unsecured loan by local banks to Genting Hong Kong was granted before the pandemic, which hit the leisure sector unexpectedly hard. He said giving out unsecured loans is not an uncommon thing in the banking industry, adding that banks can approve them based on their risk and credit assessments.
