MELAKA: Lion and dragon dance troupes can perform at the homes of revellers this upcoming Lunar New Year, say Melaka police.

Melaka Police deputy chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Razali Abu Samah said the troupes could make house-to-house visits.

Asst Comm Lim Meng Seah assumed the duties as Melaka CID chief after his predecessor Asst Comm Azlan Abu was transferred to Bukit Aman. “Family reunion dinners are allowed on the eve of Chinese New Year but there are guidelines for house visitation, including that the host must provide MySejahtera QR code for records and ensure the number of guests are at 50% capacity of the premises.
