I have no idea why the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College needs to be an “independent education institution” before it gets government funding. The DAP – and let us be clear, this is a DAP/MCA squabble – has not made it clear how MCA, owning TAR UC, is detrimental in any way or, how TAR UC, as an independent institution, would better serve the Malaysian community.
It also demonstrates that non-Malay politicians are still cannibalising each other to the detriment of their communities, while their Malay counterparts do everything in their power to secure the best deal for their community. Welcome to Neo Malaysia, where everything old is new again.
Come on. Please be objective and look at both perspectives. But, in this case, both are too proud and the students have to bear the brunt of it. Politicians have again shown they are above rakyat.
If MCA is in ctrl of TAR uni & colleges, any funds funneled to the education centre will go thru MCA first and the last thing Malaysians want is MCA getting their hands on funds before the student can!
Cake is too small to distribute to so much college/University in Malaysia.
This will cost DAP dearly! LGE just show he is a big bully just like umno!
Should we encourage education institutions to be owned by political parties (while expect e government to fund it)? That's morally wrong, using education to bait voters, when education is e main pathway to eradicating poverty. What's wrong hvg UTAR governed independently?
Blackmailing, vindictive and short sighted. pakatanharapan_ will pay dearly for holding poor students' aid as political ransom
