KUALA LUMPUR: Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional akan mengemukakan cadangan kepada Kabinet untuk memperkenalkan semula larangan ke luar negara bagi peminjam ingkar, jika rakyat mahu.
Bagaimanapun, Pengerusi PTPTN, Wan Saiful Wan Jan berkata Putrajaya akan membuat keputusan muktamad berhubung larangan itu yang merupakan satu daripada cara berkesan untuk peminjam ingkar membayar balik pinjaman mereka. “Jika rakyat mahu, kami akan kemukakan kepada Kabinet, tetapi keputusan bukan di tangan kami,” katanya ketika merasmikan inisiatif rundingan awam di ibu pejabat PTPTN di sini, hari ini.Mac lalu, Wan Saiful dilaporkan berkata, PTPTN tidak bercadang memperkenalkan semula larangan itu, walaupun idea itu timbul sebagai antara kaedah untuk menangani peminjam ingkar.
