KTMB chief executive officer Datuk Kamarulzaman Zainal said the last six carriages derailed while passing the station at about 6.55am.
“The incident obstructed one track, but has not affected passenger train services which are still operating during the Movement Control Order ,” he said in a statement.“All relevant agencies, including the Land Public Transport Agency , have been notified of the incident.Kamarulzaman said works to shift the derailed wagons are ongoing, and repairs will be done immediately.
“This is to ensure that the operations of passenger trains will not be affected after the MCO ends .”
