PARLIAMENT | For now, full Covid-19 hospitals will be maintained, he says.

| Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said there are currently no plans to build permanent Covid-19-only hospitals. He was responding to Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid who asked if the government has any intention of building such hospitals.

They want make covid-19 become endemic but they don't want to build hospital for it.

We don't mind if you take 20yrs to build the hospital as before. We know you.

I think it's an alternative good approach. Covid hospitals/clinics. Once C19 settles you can always change it to a regular hospital or for whatever disease/illness that requires high attention.

How about building more government hospitals that are also better equipped to manage pandemic?

It might just end up like the Rembau hospital anyway…

And there should not be one, well done for not succumb to such stupidity. Don't see a hospital only for Flu patient built 100 years back.
