PETALING JAYA: Four mega Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPVs) in the Klang Valley will begin to operate on Jan 15 to offer booster shots in a bid to increase the take-up rate for the third dose, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

The PPVs set to make a comeback are the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur , Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam and the Soka Gakkai Klang.

"To increase the capacity of offering booster shots in the Klang Valley, four integrated PPVs with a large scale capacity have been identified and will begin to operate on January 15. “All booster appointments will be given through the MySejahtera application or short message service ," Khairy told a press conference on Thursday .

However, individuals who wish to get their booster shots urgently but have yet to receive an appointment via MySejahtera can also contact the general practitioners PPVs listed on the ProtectHealth website to register on the waiting list.
