Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has lashed out at global vaccine inequity and countries which hoard Covid-19 vaccines, amidst criticism that Malaysia’s vaccination programme rollout is slow compared to other countries.
He was responding to an Utusan Malaysia comment piece today that had compared the vaccination programme rollout in Malaysia and in Hungary, after an Utusan Malaysia reporter asked for his comments on it in a press conference. “I like that Utusan Malaysia used the example of Hungary. Are you aware Hungary is part of the European Union ? And that the EU had negotiated...
Khairykj If parliament is functioning, you only need to answer 100 MPs the most. Since your gov choose to lock parliament, then get ready to face thousands of public. Don’t give reason, work out the solution or resign.

worth a read. even big countries are suing vaccine administrators for delayed delivery
When did Hungary join the EU? Please enlighten me…
Malaysia will most likely overtake China in terms of the number of Covid-19 deaths by the end of this week. The differences is only about 159 deaths with the number of fatalities in China from Covid-19 currently at 4,636, compared with Malaysia’s 4,477 deaths as of yesterday.
Tu je lah ko pandai. Bape hengget byr stedium tu j?
When country being compared to is larger than a postage stamp suddenly get so sensitive?
And he is right. But why were we so slow ! 2 different issues KJ !
Commission late isn't it Khairykj ?
Y do we have to make comparisons, most of the time?🤔
KerajaanGagal trying to find scapegoat.
It's too late to finger point at others. When we were already made aware of vaccines procurement what action was taken then to swiftly make the vaccine Q? All i heard was dirty politics even when cases were starting to emerge 4 digits!
Anyhow, fact still remains that PN, gained a state, and fried the whole country. Everyone is a tossable item under the bus. KerajaanGagal
Is the inequity primarily due to Malaysia low vaccine purchase price? If it is, we only have ourselve to blame for. No doubt hoarding life saving vaccine is ethically wrong. But hey, this is the rule of capitalism. We expect ministers to understand that and play the global game
How about getting to approving Sputnik and any others instead of complaining…
You should have anticipated this months ago.We want to hear your solution to this problem Khairykj . Not your ranting. People are dying. If you cannot do this job, please resign.
The blame game has started.
Hahahahhaa why KJ I used to look up to you as leader not anymore. Admit mistake and correct it.
Mana HishammuddinH2O punya abang besar ?
Typical sign of inadequacy n failure as Minister in charge. Always blame the cook, anor plus the whole world but not yr incompetent self...hence failed governance and failed government
It is a fact, rich countries are hoarding vaccines. Strange that it took him this long to bring it up.
Why don't blame yourself, Malaysia cannot produce own vaccines? And you only compared to Indo, Philippines? Why don't compared to Singapore?
When we do comparison, we compare to the better countries so that we can learn something and get better tomorrow. Why are we terbalik ?We like to compare to those behind us and feel better. Mentality also terbalik.
Also please don't compare Malaysia with other countries that's lack behind. Today we compare My to Indon, Viet...tomorrow compare to Bangladesh, the day after compare to Madagasgar...Why we always proud of we are not the last one ?
From the start all know those European and North American countries will get a big junk of the vaccines. Please don't use this as an excuse. Look at what had we done in the very early stage. Honestly I think we had not done anything or even don't aware of the severity.
