SHAH ALAM: Support must be given to efforts to protect and preserve the health of future generations of Malaysians through the tabling of the Control of Tobacco Products and Smoking Bill, says the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah said he feels that the matter is a noble endeavour and hopes that all Malaysians will give their support so that this Bill can be studied and scrutinised.

On Aug 2, a motion to refer the Bill to a Parliament Special Select Committee was passed by the Dewan Rakyat.
