The food was distributed by PMO officers to journalists and photographers who were waiting for interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad since 8am.
Since the arrival of Dr Mahathir at the PMO at 9.29am key figures from both sides have turned up one by one to meet the 7th prime minister. Among the leaders were former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
It is learnt that all leaders have left PMO and more leaders are expected to meet with the former premier.
