Pembinaan fasa kedua projek mega itu sebelum ini telah diluluskan oleh kerajaan Persekutuan dibawah Barisan Nasional, namun katanya, dibatalkan setelah Kerajaan Persekutuan bertukar selepas Pilihan Raya Umum 2018.
