Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Industri dan Pelaburan, Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Kedah, Tan Kok Yew berkata, antara premis yang perlu menutup operasi bermula 8 malam ialah yang menjual makanan dan minuman, keperluan haiwan, bengkel, kedai alat ganti, penghawa dingin, kedai runcit dan pasar raya. “Stesen minyak serta kedai serbaneka di dalam stesen berkenaan boleh beroperasi mengikut kelulusan lesen sedia ada, tetapi digalakkan untuk tutup lebih awal,” katanya dalam kenyataan semalam.Beliau berkata, langkah itu diambil kerana masih terdapat segelintir masyarakat yang gagal mematuhi perintah berkenaan dan menjalankan aktiviti harian dengan berkumpul, makan dan minum di kedai serta beratur tanpa menjarakkan diri.
