government has approved special financial assistance of RM1,000 each to its civil servants for this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir said a total of 4,711 civil servants, including 316 contract and temporary officers, will receive the aid. “The special payment will be given out on May 30 so that civil servants can make early preparations for the Raya celebrations in June,” Mukhriz said in a statement Thursday .
He added that the approval was given during the weekly state exco meeting at Wisma Darul Aman in Alor Setar, Kedah on Wednesday .
