Last week , Indian news portals reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan was approached to play the role of Sita in the film, described as a mythological period saga film which will be helmed by Alaukik Desai.Wionews.com quoted a source close to the actress: “ who usually asks in the Rs6-8 crores range for her films has quoted a sum of Rs12crores which has put the producers in a tizzy.
This alleged demand has irked netizens who have concluded that the 40-year-old is actually trying to “hurt the Hindu sentiments by putting ‘demands’ to play the role of Sita” reported filmfare.com.
