Judge sets October 25 to decide fate of stateless child

THE High Court in Ipoh today fixed October 25 to decide the citizenship application of a stateless five-year-old girl born in the country to a Malaysian father and a Chinese national mother.

Judge Abdul Wahab Mohamed set the date after hearing submissions from Ong Yu Shin, Ooi Keng Liang and Nicholas Kow, the lawyers representing the child. Effective July 2018, access to full reports will only be available with a subscription. Sign-up now and enjoy one week free access!
