Meanwhile, when approached at the meeting, Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad only smiled and waved to journalists that were waiting for him before leaving the hotel. Also present at the closed-door programme was Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad, who is also Johor UMNO Liaison chairman. Currently, the BN-led Johor government’s majority in the state assembly has been reduced by only one seat following the death of Kempas assemblyman Datuk Osman Sapian Dec 21 last year. Currently, the state government consists of Umno (14), MIC (two), PAS (one) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (11), while the opposition comprises DAP (14), PKR (seven) and Parti Amanah Negara (six). Following his death, the BN-led state government has 28 seats, with BN having 16, Bersatu 11 and PAS one. Pakatan Harapan has 27 seats out of a total of 56 state seats. “Tahap keyakinan mesti berdasarkan sains dan data dahulu, sebelum bubar kami tidak boleh menyatakan keyakinan atau sebaliknya tetapi tentu rakyat mahu keputusan lebih baik dari PRU-14,” katanya.
