State health and unity committee chairman Ling Tian Soon said from the 566 cases, 153 were epidemic locality cases while 413 were non-epidemic locality cases.
Ling said Johor Baru district has the highest number of cases with 22 , followed by Kulai with 18 and in third place was Segamat with seven cases . He said among the dengue hotspots identified in the Johor Baru district were the city, Jelutong, Plentong, Pulai, Sungai Tiram, Tebrau and Tanjung Kupang in Gelang Patah.
“A total of 1,432 compound notices totalling RM763,600 were issued to premises found to be breeding Aedes mosquitoes,’’ he said, adding that 57.9% have paid the fine.
