Malay daily Kosmo! reported that Johor Pejuang chief Datuk Saharuddin Mohd Salleh said the party had decided that it would not support any party and will contest alone but not in all 56 seats in Johor.
He said that the candidates selected will be among youths, women, professionals, non-governmental organizations , former state assemblymen, former government officials and businessmen."The priority of placing Pejuang candidates is assessed based on the majority of the Malay population in their respective areas," he said in a press conference at the Opening Program of the Pejuang Party Secretariat Office at Jalan Nagasari, Sekijang Parliament , Segamat Baru on Saturday.
He added that the party is open to any form of cooperation initiated from other political parties during the state election.
