JOHOR BARU: Pakatan Harapan components PKR and Parti Amanah Negara will take on 20 seats apiece in the upcoming Johor state election while DAP is contesting 16 seats.

This seat allocation, announced by Amanah president Mohamad Sabu on Thursday , is an increase from the 14th General Election in 2018 when PKR and Amanah vied for 12 seats each and DAP, 14.The Kota Raja MP added that the seat allocation was finalised at a Pakatan presidential council meeting on Wednesday .

“If they have a winning chance, all three components of Pakatan will have a joint discussion about it before deciding,” he told a press conference after meeting members of the public with Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim in Permas Jaya here. Meanwhile, state Amanah chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said the party’s list of candidates for the Johor election had also been finalised.
