Johor Public Works, Infrastructure and Transportation Committee chairman Mohd Solihan Badri said the proposal has been sent under the 12th Malaysia Plan , involving roadworks at Pekan Nenas to Taman Maju, and Parit Selangor to Taman Nusantara.
“The estimated development cost is about RM250mil involving expansion and upgrading works along the 12km stretch,” he said, adding that the roads were built on top of peat soils. As for the second project, Mohd Solihan said it involved a new 16.5km road development from Parit Selangor to Taman Nusantara, with an estimated GDV worth RM300mil.“Each of these projects is expected to reduce the congestion by about 30% to 40%, which is important if we want to support the development in this district within the next three to four years to come,” he added.
