KULAI: Police have issued compound notices totalling RM150,000 to 26 individuals, including a minor, at an entertainment outlet here for violating the movement control order.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said police carried out a raid at the entertainment premises on Jalan Kenanga 29/9 in Bandar Indahpura here at around 12.15am on Sunday morning following a tip-off.

"Upon inspection, there were 22 men and four women, all locals aged 16 to 53, inside," he said here on Sunday . Supt Tok added one of the individuals admitted he was the business owner but did not have a business operating license. "Police issued a RM25,000 compound notice to him and RM5,000 compound notice to each patron," he said.

Supt Tok said the action was taken against them for violating the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Act 1988 by gathering without proper reason.
