TOKYO: A woman in Japan who contracted the new coronavirus and was released from hospital after recovering has tested positive again, officials said Thursday.
After being discharged from hospital she tested negative for the virus on Feb 6, although she still had a cough at the time. The latest case was a man in his 80s in northern Hokkaido who had heart and lung diseases, the governor announced on Thursday. The city of Osaka also said it will close its kindergartens, elementary and junior high schools from Saturday for two weeks, according to public broadcaster NHK.
