Jangan harap ekonomi pulih selagi Covid-19 masih merebak, kata Najib

PETALING JAYA: Bekas perdana menteri Najib Razak menyarankan kerajaan melalui Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia melakukan saringan kesihatan secara besar-besaran dalam mendepani wabak Covid-19.

“Selepas virus ini diatasi, kita buat langkah besar-besaran untuk pulihkan ekonomi,” katanya menerusi wawancara bertajuk ‘Covid-19 dan cabaran ekonomi’ oleh The Outlook. “Sebab itu saya syorkan saringan mesti dilakukan berskala besar dan kita lihat Korea Selatan umpamanya dengan bilangan penduduk 51 juta tetapi mereka sudah buat 300,000 saringan skala besar dan kesannya mereka tidak perlu laksanakan kawalan ketat atau perintah berkurung sebab mereka sudah tahu siapa antara rakyat mereka dijangkiti virus.
