Sejak awal Covid-19 setiap daerah di Sabah sudah menubuhkan pasukan khas untuk memberi sokongan mental dan emosi kepada mereka yang terkesan. FMTNews HospitalQueenElizabeth

Pengarah Kesihatan Sabah Dr Christina Rundi berkata semua pegawai perubatan dan pakar perubatan di Unit Anaesthesia Hospital Queen Elizabeth bekerja dalam suasana kondusif dan berupaya memikul beban kerja.

“Namun, mereka perlu menjalani kuarantin dan ujian RT-PCR sekembalinya dari bertugas di luar daerah. Bagi pasukan bantuan yang ditugaskan di Hospital Queen Elizabeth , mereka akan diberi orientasi selama 1 hari berkaitan struktur dan organisasi tempat kerja serta kawalan infeksi di tempat kerja.Dr Christina Rundi.

Selain mendakwa petugas kesihatan yang tiba di Sabah perlu dikuarantin selama 1 atau 2 minggu, doktor berkenaan turut mendakwa kebanyakan petugas kesihatan yang dihantar masih “junior” dan tiada pengalaman. Beliau berkata, sejak peringkat awal Covid-19, setiap daerah di Sabah sudah menubuhkan pasukan “Mental Health Pyschosocial Support” untuk memberi sokongan mental dan emosi kepada mereka yang terkesan oleh Covid-19, termasuklah petugas kesihatan di lapangan dan hospital.

Katanya, HQE sendiri sudah melipat gandakan usaha menangani keperluan mendesak akibat peningkatan kes Covid-19 setiap hari. Malah, bilangan katil untuk penjagaan rawatan rapi daripada 16 katil sedia ada sudah ditambah kepada 40.
