IPOH: A family of five who just moved into their new home in Taman Sri Perkasa here two days ago were horrified when the perimeter wall of their home collapsed during a landslide.

Freelance insurance agent Dina Liz Ismail, 37, said part of the slope next to their house on Laluan Lapangan 3 gave way during a thunderstorm just before dawn on Sunday .

"The developer said it would repair the damage and put us up at a nearby homestay," she said, adding that the repairs could take about two weeks."Shortly after we arrived, we inspected the location to ensure that no one was hurt. "We hope the Ipoh City Council will this matter seriously and take action before more incidents happen," he added.

Meanwhile, Gopeng MCA vice chairman Cally Ting said she would try to find a solution to the constant flash floods there."Some 106 residents have collected signatures to be passed to the mayor asking him to look into the issues here.Former Ipoh city councillor Kok Pak Foo said there had been two landslides along the road in the area.

Gotta do ur own research before signing those papers. Educate urself

Somewhere, someone, somehow failed to do his job properly. Whom should take the blame? That 1 person or the entire people who involved in this housing project?

Hope the developers at Cameron Highlands take this into consideration.

Malaysia needs to tighten on safety rules relating to building homes. Hold the developers & approval authorities accountable.
