PETALING JAYA: The Johor State Education Department is investigating an incident in which a secondary school student was reportedly caned by her teacher, leaving red welts on her arms and legs.
In a video which has gone viral on social media, a woman, believed to be the student’s mother, quizzes a male teacher about his act of caning the girl.
Well, in a way, serve her right. A lesson the hard way. Maybe, it is a turning point.
Now the minister is doing this flock of students a huge favor stating that teachers shld smile and reply “Yes I am” each time they are mocked! Imagine shouting “Teacher is a bastard!” Can any normal human being just smile and reply “Yes, I am a bastard”

Y ya nowaday.... nk hukum student pun takut2. Ehh let me tell u...i dlu study n grad from chinese pvt girl school in KL. Kalau ada yg buat salah. Guru besar rotan tangan depan2 assembly tau tak. I dulu hanya 5 org pelajar melayu dalam skolah tu... mmg x berani buat nakal.
She deserve it. Kalau i rotan depan2 assembly tu. Baru padan muka.
Pelajar nie dikenali sbg murid yg bodoh pemalas n nakal malah kurang ajar tiada didikan moral dr mak bapak !
Well, I guess after this incident, this girl will never call anyone any names ever again! I hope she has learned her lesson. And to the parents, if you can't teach yr kids manners, some one else has to, bear in mind this was at school. What if it was in public?
Thank you teacher. We need teachers like you to uphold the integrity and the discipline of the students.
Teachers in Msia r not allowed to cane female students , it’s against the law. May the victim finds justice according to the rule of law.

This is not caning... It's more like bashing the student using a cane with vengeance. Student is wrong to name calling but the teacher has low EQ gets provoked too easily and take the matter into his hands.
Lucky been canned , if the teacher lost it what you think wld happen, so the parents need to educate abt respect and manner
Canning is not acceptable if student gone over board, but calling names that is something we Malaysian has habit to do it, I dont condone canning but if temper cld not be contained when names as transveatite what you do, keep quiet is it? The student is lucky been...

Klau ikut prosedur tak jadi masalah jgn bertindak sendiri..bawa ker school displinary board.Siasat dan ambil tindakan.Klau nak rotan serahkan board..board ada prosedur. Klau nak bertindak sendiri..buat di luar waktu dan kwsan sekolah.Puas hati.
jb_augustine That cane marks showed everything. What a dumb teacher. Even if its name calling / bad words coming out from students mouth, its not an excuse to do such horrible thing like that. What the girl called him might be because what he showed (attitude/personality). :(
Sad but this is the gen we will have, mental cpt koyak, orang tua zmn kita dulu mmg kena rotan lagi, sbb ajar adab jgn bgi gelaran kat orang, ajar adab kita dgn pendidik orang lebih tua.

Whatever she said..beating up a girl like tat speaks volume of the low character of the teacher..god knows wat he will do to his own kids if they do something wrong.. shud have suspended the student..then she will also learn how to respect the elders. Now she has gained support..

Saya biasa lihat bapa memukul anak lebih teruk daripada ini.Kalau ibu bapa memukul untuk mengajar atau utk menjadikan anak yg baik..Siapa yg lebih patut memukul anak selain dari ibubapa utk mengajar mereka menjadi lebih baik.Tiada yg lain yg rasanya berhak memukul kecuali guru.
