Menurut kenyataan itu, bagi permohonan yang lulus bayaran BPN akan dibuat secara tunai di Bank Simpanan Nasional. Esok, pembayaran fasa pertama BPN akan tertumpu kepada golongan B40 berikutan kesusahan yang dialami khususnya ketika Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan yang berkuat kuasa sejak 18 Mac lalu susulan penularan virus Covid-19.
Menteri Kewangan Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz dilaporkan berkata, pembayaran itu akan dilaksanakan secara berperingkat bermula 6 sehingga 15 April yang dijangka memberi manfaat kepada kira-kira 8.3 juta penerima isi rumah dan individu bujang.
