JOHOR BARU: Mental health awareness must be improved among the people so any issues can be detected and dealt with early, says Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah.

“This needs to be emphasised because it can be treated and its ill effects prevented, beginning with one’s own family members and surrounding community.

“Many people lost their jobs and sources of income, leading to financial difficulties. This has posed a myriad of challenges, especially to their mental health,” added Her Majesty. He added that after almost two years of facing the pandemic and adjusting to the new normal, there were various issues emerging, in particular those related to mental health.
