Immigration D-G says travel approval given to Baling MP to head Palestinian humanitarian mission

PUTRAJAYA, June 18 — Baling MP Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has been given the green light to travel abroad as head of the Humanitarian Mission 4 Palestine to al-Quds and Gaza, said Immigration director-general, Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud.According to Khairul Dzaimee, Abdul Azeez submitted his application and other documents such as Wisma Putra support letter as well as court release letter to immigration last week to enable him to carry out the mission.

“There is no issue of Abdul Azeez going abroad as he had submitted his application and the relevant support letter,” he told Bernama today on the international travel involving Abdul Azeez when Malaysia is still under the movement control order . Abdul Azeez is facing three corruption charges on road projects in Perak and Kedah involving RM5.2 million as well as 10 charges of money laundering involving RM140 million under Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act .
