KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — Malay Dignity Congress is an effort to unite Malays and stop politicking, said Umno’s Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein. “I think we have to move forward, looking at unity. I’m a Malay-elected representative from Sembrong and I have been very consistent with the issue of unity and it goes beyond party lines and the colour of your skin.
The Malay Dignity Congress, which was attended by prominent leaders from both sides of the political divide, issued demands to the government that pertained to religion, politics, the economy, education and culture.
A stage used to humiliate non Malays. It was all about Malay supremacy in all aspect of social economy & you call that to unite all races? Even Tun’s speech went off track. He went on to say about the non Malays. ‘Pendatang asing yg terpaksa kami terima’. Come on give me a break!
Why have one royal when you can have at least 9 to do the vital religious duties.
Gee! Then why not call it the 'Malay Unity Congress'? By calling a Dignity Congress, it might be misconstrued as a apathied, Nazi , white supremacists movement
Isn't that the work of the sultans and agongs? I thought that was the reason for retaining our royalty after Merdeka.
