PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry will decide if the movement control order (MCO) will be extended on April 10 after reviewing its collected data.

Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said they were monitoring the situation and noted that Malaysians would have to play their part as well.

"The data will tell us if we need to extend. Now I can't predict but the reality is that we have to based it on science and facts. "We hope that by April 10, the data is available for us to make a decision on whether we need to extend or not," he said during a press conference on Saturday . He encouraged Malaysians to keep staying at home, continue personal hygiene practices like hand-washing and to maintain social distancing.He said this was because new patients were being tested every day and its reporting mechanism is based on figures at noon.

He also said that there were 150 new Covid-19 cases reported, bringing it to a total of 3,483 cases as of noon on Saturday .

I think if really need extension better do it one week only. A lot of people start losing their jobs

Next review should be June 30th.
