Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this has been labelled as the the Muda cluster and the index case in this cluster is a policeman."Following this, active case detection was carried out and screenings on close contacts were done on Aug 13 and a positive case was detected on Aug 14," he said in a statement on Friday.
Dr Noor Hisham said 124 close contacts have been screened, with two testing positive, five negative and 117 others are still waiting for results.“Preventive measures such as disinfection and decontamination in areas identified to this cluster are being carried out," he said.There were 20 new Covid-19 cases recorded on Friday, bringing the total infections in the country to 9,149.
