A check by The Star at the LTA’s Johor Baru service centre yesterday still found long lines of people waiting outside the centre – over two months since the borders reopened.
“The application process was smooth, but the only problem was that I had to drive all the way to Johor just to collect my Autopass. “It is a hassle to travel so far just to collect the Autopass. At least for my case, I am only coming from Pasir Gudang. In a statement on April 18, LTA said it had ramped up resources to handle the high volume of VEP applications.
LTA said the application for VEP must be done online via VEP Digital Services on the OneMotoring website as applications would no longer be accepted at Singapore’s land checkpoints to facilitate traffic flow.
