PUTRAJAYA: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s special envoy to the Middle East.Hadi, who is the Marang MP, had served as vice-president of the World Muslim Ulama Union, and was also the Terengganu Mentri Besar from 1999 to 2004.
The 73-year-old holds a degree in Syariah from Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia, and a Master’s degree in political science from Egypt’s Al-Azhar University. He has also been named among 500 influential Muslims in the world under the preaching and spiritual leadership category by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies in 2016.
I do not understand the need to appoint any more minister. Especially when their post have no bearing on helping with the national health crisis of Covid-19 😕
