GRS-BN government continues programme to speed up issuance of NT land grants

TELUPID, May 14 — The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-Barisan Nasional government has continued the Sabah State Customary Land Services Programme to complete the Native Customary Rights land survey work, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

“The Pantas Programme which has been implemented since 2011 is now being continued by the GRS-BN government, realising the importance of issuing the land grants to the people in the state, specifially natives in the rural areas including the district of Telupid. Hajiji said the state government wanted the process of issuing land grants to be empowered and intensified further this year.

Hajiji also handed over 181 NT land grants involving an area of 523.78 ha and a gazetted village reserve, namely, the 81.47 ha-Kampung Telupid Batu 4 Native Residential Site.He was confident the plan would be used by the local leaders as a guide in the development of Telupid and able to help spur the progress and development of the district.
