Govt sets face mask ceiling price at RM1.50, effective April 1

KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 — The government has decided to lower the ceiling price for face masks to RM1.50 starting from April 1, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob said today. “The government had ordered the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs to decide the ceiling price for the face masks.

“However, the meeting today has agreed to fix the ceiling price for the face masks to RM1.50,” he said in a special press conference this afternoon.“If we found out that the price we bought the face masks have reduced, then we will review again and announce a new price for the face masks.

Still it's expensive and how could Makcik Kiah afford to buy face mask at RM1.50 since the government only intended to deposit the money at the end of April. Poor.. Makcik Kiah! Whatlah backdoor people!
