Govt extension of tax deduction can help businesses, says online education director

Genesis Origo director Low Chin Ann says the government extension on tax deduction of up to RM300,000 for business renovation and refurbishment is something businesses can look forward to post Covid pandemic. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 18, 2022.

THE government extending tax deduction of up to RM300,000 for business renovation and refurbishment until December 31, 2022 is something businesses can look forward to for the remainder of this year, said education platform director Genesis Origo Low Chin Ann. “If you are short of cash, you have the time to arrange for bank financing,” he said in a webinar titled “Tax 101-Tax Guide for SMEs and Entrepreneurs” today.
