Former national No. 1 women's singles shuttler Goh Jin Wei is keeping her fingers crossed after filing an appeal to Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) concerning her two-year suspension. Read more at

"I sent my appeal letter this morning. I'm ready to sit down and discuss this matter further and I hope to get this decision revoked," she said.

The 21-year-old along with world No. 7 Lee Zii Jia had been slapped with a two-year exclusion from all sanctioned tournaments in a decision announced by BAM at a press conference last Friday. However, there seems to be a glimmer of hope for Jin Wei after Zii Jia managed to overturn the verdict following an appeal made on Monday .
