, has just turned one and it has plans to add more EVs to its fleet. Since its launch in December 2021, GoCar says more than 1,000 users have experienced a quiet and clean drive with its Nissan Leaf and the platform has recorded more than 500,000km in total distance. It added that more than 90% of their members have experienced fully-electric vehicles for the first time on their platform.
On top of that, GoCar is giving away 100,000 GoPocket Points, which is equivalent to RM1,000 to 10 lucky users. The GoEV Share service is available only for round trips where users will need to pick up and return the car from the same point. The Nissan Leaf costs RM24.90 per hour and RM249 per day. The daily costs can go as low as RM232 per day if you make a one-month booking.
Commenting on the anniversary milestone, GoCar Malaysia CEO Wong Hoe Mun said, “The EV market in Malaysia has been gaining momentum, specifically in the development of charging infrastructure and introduction of more EV models from various car brands. However, accessibility to the masses is still a challenge. The high cost of purchasing an EV is simply not viable for most Malaysians, especially given current challenging economic conditions.
