Girl had decided to walk home after her father was late in picking her up. FMTNews Dog Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: A Year 1 pupil was admitted to hospital in a critical condition after a dog attacked her on her way home from school on Friday, Sabah education director Mistrine Radin said.She was later moved to the Women and Children Hospital in Likas here. She was reported to be in stable condition now, Radin said.

The girl was with several friends when the dog attacked them, about 300 metres from her school. Her friends ran back to school to seek help.“Teachers at the school rushed her to the Ranau Hospital,” she said. Radin said the victim’s father was late to pick the girl up from school and she decided to walk home.
